Pettiward Hall

Pettiward Hall

Pettiward Hall

The Pettiward Hall was built by the Pettiward family c.1907 and became Great Finborough's village hall in 1936. It occupies a prominent position in the village at the junction of the B1115 (High Road) and Valley Lane (postcode IP14 3AE).

The hall provides a dedicated room at the rear of the building for the Great Finborough & Buxhall Under 5's pre-school. The rest of the building comprises main hall with stage, lobby, kitchen and toilets on the ground floor and two rooms (one currently used for storage, the other for meetings) on the first floor. There are toilet and kitchen facilities at this level. The main kitchen on the ground floor provides a 900mm electric cooker, microwave, fridge, hot water urn and sufficient crockery, cutlery and glassware for 80-100 people. In addition there is a variety of tables and chairs for hirers' use.

The hall has recently been refurbished and is available to hire at very reasonable rates for parties, social functions, fundraising events, drama, keep fit etc. The meeting room has a wall-mounted screen, perfect for slide shows and presentations, and can seat 40 people.
